About the theme

Tropical Fruits runs from the familiar to the bordering-on-exotic. Mango, papaya, and pineapple sit beside lychee, rambutan, soursop, and cherimoya. The longer entries — pineapple, passionfruit, breadfruit — tend to anchor a corner on the bigger grids. Pomegranate is the longest at eleven letters and almost always lands diagonally on the harder tiers. Filler-letter weighting leans on A, O, and the soft consonants that tropical-fruit names favour, so the grid reads as one warm equatorial palette rather than a list of words on noise.
