About the theme

Ocean Life pulls from the full vertical of the water column — dolphin and whale near the surface, seahorse and starfish in the kelp, narwhal and barracuda in deeper water. Octopus, jellyfish, stingray, and clownfish anchor the bigger grids. The shorter entries (crab, eel, squid) are the harder hides because they fit in too many places. The filler reads cool and salty, heavy on the sea-coastal consonants of marine vocabulary.
